Second Step - Present Tense
Find out how to construct a basic verb in the present tense. The present tense is the tense of the here and now. A verb in the present tense (Je présent) describes an action that is happening at the moment you speak, is habitual or in general.
For example -
Il mange une pomme
Nous dînons toujours tard le soir.
Les enfants aiment jouer dehors.
The French present tense covers several ways of expressing the present tense in English
Je mange
In English you'd say - I eat, I am eating, I do eat
